Currently on exhibit is WHAT ON EARTH?: Art and Activities from Around the World. During construction at the Museum, this off-site exhibit introduces cultures from around the world through art and artifact, accompanied by hands-on activities. The Museum will begin construction in 2001 on Artville, a new creative-play area for 3-5 year old visitors. The 3,000-square-foot facility will provide a stimulating space which introduces the basic art elements of line, color, texture, and shape. The expansion will also include additional administrative offices, new giftshop space, improved exhibit delivery and storage capability, and a larger woodworking shop.
During the reconstruction, the Museum is temporarily housed at 51 East Main Street in Mesa, on the south side of Main Street between Center and Centennial Way. Group tours are available. The Museum will be closed on Mondays, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.
