The Colossal Cave Mountain Park is a beautiful desert park, on the National Historic Register. The park showcases the crystal-filled Colossal Cave and the historic La Posta Quemada Ranch. The park is located just 22 miles east of Tucson
. Guests may take cave tours, visit the gift shops, museums, picnicking, and take the western trail rides.
The park's summer hours (March 16 - September 15) are Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Sunday and holidays from 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Winter hours (September 16 - March 15) are Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Sunday and holidays from 9:00 a.m. until6:00 p.m.
