In 1894 Methodists from Glendale and Phoenix began meeting for worship at the Alhambra School, just two years after the town site was laid out by W.J. Murphy. The church was designed originally as a grand two-story Gothic edifice with a three story buttressed corner tower. Worship services are from 9:30 - 11am.
