Indian Bread Rocks Picnic Area |
Visitors will enjoy this beautiful setting accented by unique rock formations that provides picnickers, hikers, wildlife watchers, and hunters with a glorious view of the mountains.
Facilities consist of five picnic tables and a newly constructed vault toilet. Camping is available in undeveloped sites. The best views of Sulphur Springs, San Simon Valley and several other mountain ranges can be seen from the higher mountains and ridges.
Indian Bread Rocks Picnic Area is the access point to the Dos Cabezas Mountains Wilderness, which encompasses 11,700 acres in Cochise County. Visitors to the Dos Cabezas Mountains Wilderness will find a divers terrain, vegetation and abundant wildlife due to developed and natural springs and mountain elevations ranging from 4,080 to 7,500 feet.
Indian Bread Rocks is located 20 miles east of Willcox and seven miles south of Bowie, Arizona.
