Mining and Mineral Museum is housed in the historic Shriner's Auditorium and part of the Arizona Department of Mines and Mineral Resources. The museum exhibits over 3,000 minerals, an eight-foot piece of native copper, a large quartz geode, rocks from the first Moon landing, and a fragment of Meteor Crater’s meteorite, lapidary arts featuring gemstones, carved semi-precious bowls and spheres. The museum also offers an outreach program for students and teachers.
