The Sharlot Hall Museum is the largest museum in the central territory of Arizona. Exhibits include human and natural history spanning the years from before the founding of Prescott in 1864 to the present. The museum site includes nine buildings and four special gardens that include the Territorial Women's Memorial Rose Garden. A visit to the museum is highlighted by a tour of the Governor's Mansion. Founded in 1928 by historian and poet Sharlot M. Hall, the museum explores the rich diversity of regional heritage through festivals, living history events, outdoor theater performances, changing exhibits, publications and research services.
The museum is also home to an on-site museum store, archives, and a library. Hours vary seasonally, please call for the current schedule.
