The Tempe Historical Museum presents the story of
Tempe, Arizona. Guests have opportunity to learn about prehistoric Hohokam Indians and farmers who settled near the Salt River and started a community. People can also learn about Charles Trumbull Hayden, who brought the first commerce and industry to the area. Visitors will learn about the small farming community that has grown into a modern city.
The museum features the history of Tempe from the time of prehistoric Hohokam to today. Visitors have the opportunity to enjoy videos and hands-on exhibits.
The museum features a gift shop and is open Monday through Thursday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The museum is open on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
