The Tucson Children's Museum features 10 galleries with exciting hands-on exhibits for young and the young-at-heart. The exibits and shows of the museum are constantly changing. Please call to inquire. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and open Sunday from noon to 5:00 p.m. The museum is closed on Mondays. Each year the Tucson Children's Museum and the Tucson Indian Center’s Wellness Department holds a Children's Social Powwow in September where children learn of distinctly different Native American singing, dancing and drumming. They will witness different powwow dance styles, the dancers’ regalia, and even join in intertribal and round dances.
