Wild Cow Springs Recreation Site |
Wild Cow Springs Recreation Site is situated within the Hualapai Mountains, providing a cool green island of oak and ponderosa pine that is especially attractive during the summer months. The Wild Cow Springs site is located 14 miles southeast of Kingman on the paved Hualapai Mountain Road, through Hualapai Mountain County Park to the small community of Pine Lake.
To reach the site, turn right at the Pine Lake firehouse onto an unpaved one-lane road. The recreation site is five miles further on. High clearance vehicles are highly recommended beyond this point; travel trailers longer than 20 feet are not recommended beyond the firehouse turnoff.
Most camping and picnicking sites are equipped with a metal fire grill, metal or rock masonry fire ring, trash can, picnic table and a level parking site. Paved handicapped-accessible camping and picnicking sites with a handicapped-accessible vault toilet are available. This site offers vault toilets. No water or firewood is provided.
