Bugaboo Provincial Park is located within the
Purcell Mountains and is about 60 km south of
Golden. The park is located in a mountain ranged estimated to be some 1.5 billion years old. The heavy snowfall of the Columbia Wet Belt continues to support large remnants of the vast alpine glaciers that once dominated and shaped the rugged Purcells in the past. Facilities to support climbers are provided, including trails and the Conrad Kain Hut, which can accommodate up to 50 persons.
This is just one of hundreds of British Columbia Provincial Parks.
