Fanny Bay British Columbia |
Highway 19 runs along the shore of Fanny Bay, home of the old established Fanny Bay Inn (known locally as the FBI, and located near Cougar Creek). The beach is scattered with heaps of oyster shells. In fact, Fanny Bay oysters are considered especially tasty. The former cable-laying vessel, the "Brico" is beached near here, and has been converted to a restaurant. Just north, the Buckley Bay Road turnoff leads to the Denman Island Ferry. From Denman, a second ferry connects to Hornby Island.
