An isolated community 100 kilometres west of Lillooet in the mountains. The area opened up in the 1930's and became the richest gold-producing region of BC. The Bralorne Mine produced over $145 million in gold and employed 5,000 miners before closing in 1970. Visitors can wander the mine ruins and ghost towns. Year-round resorts in the area offer hiking, horse trips, cross-country skiing, heli-skiing and snowmobiling.
