Lillooet Lake Lodge

Comments: By luck or fate, my groom and I found this wonderfully secluded jewel located on Lillooet Lake. Originally, we'd planned on staying just one night "somewhere" on our way to a guest ranch near 70 Mile House, but ultimately decided to leave the ranch early and return to Lillooet Lake Lodge for the remainder of our honeymoon. It's serene and quiet, with majestic views. The property has an interesting history, and the proprietors (Jacob & Elisabeth) are perfect hosts. The two different cabins we stayed in were cozy and uniquely decorated. I would highly recommend the largest cabin (I think it's #5). What Jacob has done to transform a former wood shed will amaze you. It has the feel of lakeside lodge from 80 years ago, though it's fully wired with electricity. There's a bit of a drive on a gravel road, but how else do you get to the wilderness where the only sounds are of nature? We will definitely go back, not only in the warmer weather, but perhaps even for Christmas one year.
