At the northern end of Highway 101 on the Sunshine Coast
of Southwestern B.C., Lund is about twenty minutes north of Powell River
. This historic fishing village was founded by the Swedish Thulin brothers in 1889, and their heritage 1895 hotel is today a popular tourist attraction. The village also offers an RV park, campground, a government wharf with moorage, and a boardwalk lined with arts and crafts shops. From Lund you can take a water taxi to Savary Island
and its sandy white beaches.
