Lund British Columbia |
At the northern end of Highway 101 on the Sunshine Coast of Southwestern B.C., Lund is about twenty minutes north of Powell River. This historic fishing village was founded by the Swedish Thulin brothers in 1889, and their heritage 1895 hotel is today a popular tourist attraction. The village also offers an RV park, campground, a government wharf with moorage, and a boardwalk lined with arts and crafts shops. From Lund you can take a water taxi to Savary Island and its sandy white beaches.
