Enter the Rainforest and experience the wonder of nature. |
The Rainforest Reptile Refuge Society is a shelter for unwanted, abused, etc. reptiles, amphibians and tarantulas. Started in 1986 with a few repitles that were no longer wanted by their owners, Christine and Clarence Schramm decided to take them in and dedicate their lives to helping these wonderful creatures by giving them a permanent shelter where they would not be exploited as novelty pets. With 300+ animals, the Society is open to the public and is set up with exhibits for viewing (exhibits as close to a natural setting as possible), with personal or group tours given. Open year round. Closed Mondays (except some holidays) to allow the animals a day of rest.
Plan your vacation to the Pacific Northwest with a packet of information in the mail and you may win a $200 gift certificate courtesy of our sponsors.
