Home of Vancouver International Airport, Richmond is also known as the "Island City" on Lulu Island. One can cycle or hike on the dykes of this group of islands divided by the arms of the Fraser River. The wetlands offer glimpses of eagles, hawks and seabirds. The second-largest Buddhist temple in North America is here, on the way to the historic fishing village of Steveston. Minoru Park, in downtown Richmond, boasts gardens, ponds and a chapel. Other attractions include the Richmond Arts Centre, the Nature House, and the Richmond Nature Park on Westminster Highway. There are more than a dozen Cities in Metropolitan Vancouver BC.
