The Skagit Valley was carved by retreating glaciers. Archaeologists have identified artifacts confirming Native use of the Skagit Valley for the past 8000 years. The park is located approximately 32 km southeast of
Hope and borders
Manning Provincial Park and the United States.
The park is open May to October. There are no reservations for the 131 sites. Management of this and other cross-border park areas is done in cooperation with U.S. agencies.
