White Pelican Provincial Park |
The park is situated on the Chilcotin Plateau, approximately 60 km northwest of Williams Lake. The purpose of the park is to protect the breeding grounds of the only nesting colony of white pelicans in British Columbia. Persons wishing to view the pelicans are encouraged to use Nazko Lake Provincial Park, where the pelicans go to feed in the morning and evening.
This is just one of hundreds of British Columbia Provincial Parks.
