Argos is dedicated to all aspects of audio-visual art which fall outside the boundaries of traditional cinema, i.e., that which is neither movie nor film short nor traditional documentary. Video art, CD-rom presentations, unconventional documentaries, and artistic websites are typical activities qualifying for Argos support, which might consist of international distribution, preservation, festival, media library, exhibitions and other events, and so forth.
Argos is housed in a former banana-ripening warehouse, with 400 square meters available for installations. In addition to the gallery, Argos maintains a media library and screening room, open to the public by appointment.
