Le Botanique is the art center of the French-Wallonian community of Brussels. It hosts popular and traditional music concerts, dance performances, theatre workshops, cinema, art exhibitions, and conferences.

Facilities include the Orangerie (a general purpose venue accomodating 350-700), the Rotunda (capacity 125-250), The Greenhouses (used for exhibitions and receptions), two sizeable art galleries, a 90-seat movie theater, a conference room, and the Cafe-Theater (capacity 100-200), used for intimate concerts and poetry readings.

Le Botanique originally housed the Brussels Botanical Gardens, established in 1795 (hence the name); when the city decided to move the Gardens to a new location, the Wallonian community took over the building, saving it from demolition.
