The House of the Spectacle (Maison du Spectacle) is government-owned building and support organization which has provided space and services for artistic organizations since 1980. The building itself is famous for its ornate 18th century facade,which is grafted onto what had once been part of a convent. Inside are resource centers , libraries, workspaces, conference facilities, and small rehearsal and performance venues. It is located in downtown Brussels, a few blocks from the Brussels Grand Place.The Maison du Spectacle is also known as the Maison de la Bellone, a name associated with the building and it's original owner.
