The Museum of Water and the Fountain surveys the vessels and the techniques that humans have used to transport water through the ages, from decorative fountains, to wooden pipes, to human bucket bearers, to hydraulic systems, to cups and carafes. The culture of water use is also celebrated, in sculpture and other art forms, and the science of the water cycle is explained.
