The late medieval fortress, Spontin Castle, was originally constructed in the 12th century. The dungeon dating from the 13th century is the oldest surviving piece; the defensive towers date from the 14th century. It is now a bed and breakfast, offering tours of the castle as part of the package, and dinner at the Le Vivier d'Oie restaurant as an option.
