St. Gommarus Church

St. Gommarus, a 15th century gothic cathedral, has many attributes to recommend it to the sightseer. The collection of stained glass windows is one of the most spectacular in Belgium. There are several valuable paintings, including a triptych by Rubens. A white sandstone rood loft draws the eye immediately upon entry into the nave. The 80 meter tower contains a 45 bell carillon.
