Vrieselhof Estate & Textile Museum

Vrieselhof is a public park, in between Schilde and [oolegem]. The heavy red brick palace on its grounds holds a textile museum, with examples of lace, the preserved fashions of antiquity, and exhibits on the history and technology of cloth manufacture. The castle was built after the First World War, during which the 14th century castle that had originally stood there was destroyed.
