The Beckwourth Cabin located in
Plumas County, was pioneer Jim Beckwourth's refurbished hotel and trading post, circa 1852. Beckwourth, who was part Native American and part African American, was one of the few pioneer leaders of African-American descent. He discovered one of the lowest passes over the
Sierra Nevada.
The cabin is open by appointment only.
