Winemakers and proprietors Dave and Jan Olson are deeply committed to using only Sierra Foothill grapes. "Our wine is really chosen in the vineyard. The location and soil of the vineyard will dictate much of the style, and Mother Nature's weather patterns will affect the grapes from year to year". Dave guides the wine, choosing French or American oak barrels. Wines by Black Sheep include their award winning Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon Blanc, and True Frogs Lily Pad White, their whimsical frog label.
Free tastings are offered weekends from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and weekdays by appointment.
