The City of Brawley was incorporated in 1908. Brawley is located in Imperial County east of San Diego between El Centro and the Salton Sea along Highway 86. Brawley is near the United States/Mexico border.

Brawley has a population of approximately 22,000. Brawley is a safe community with 14 parks, and is beautifully landscaped.

While visiting Brawley guests can visit the Colorado River that is about 30 miles from the city. The Salton Sea and desert sand dunes are accessible in minutes. All these areas offer prime recreational opportunities, from bird watching to fishing, hunting, boating, dune riding, and just about any other outdoor activity one could imagine.
