Covers Apple Ranch is an apple ranch that includes a bakery, gift store, sandwiches, mile-high pies, cider and cookies. The Ranch offers miniature train rides on Saturdays and some Holidays. The Ranch is open for tours and school field trips. Please call to inquire.

Covers Apple Ranch was originally called The Lava Ridge Ranch. The first seeds were planted for the first trees in 1890 and besides growing apples there were two gold mines on the property. Rudy and Esther Cover bought the ranch in 1959, and at this time the name was changed to Cover's Apple Ranch. The Cover family ran the ranch until 1970. In July of 1998 the Joe Cover family bought the ranch, and once again the name has been changed back to Cover's Apple Ranch.
