Danville was incorporated as a city in 1982 and it has been in existence since the gold rush days. The town preserves its Old West feel with upkeep of its old buildings and maintenance of it old narrow roads. Danville is a delightful community containing eight parks, with ball fields, tennis courts, picnic facilities, playground equipment and walking trails. The town is known for its Fourth of July Parade and the Lighting of Old Town Danville.
