Death Valley |
Death Valley lies near California's southern border with Nevada. The highest temperatures ever recorded in the United States have been in Death Valley, which also has the lowest elevation in North America, at Badwater. Much of Death Valley is contained within the Death Valley National Park.
Death Valley National Park has more than 3.3 million acres of spectacular desert scenery, interesting and rare desert wildlife, complex geology, undisturbed wilderness, and sites of historical and cultural interest.
