Heritage Square is an open-air museum that is devoted to the preservation, restoration, and interpretation of southern California's history. The museum features historically and architecturally significant buildings. The buildings are relocated to the museum and placed in a village-like setting. The buildings are restored, displayed, and interpreted to the public. The Museum's collections, exhibits, and programs present the story of everyday life in Los Angeles, during the years 1865 to 1914.
The Museum is open to the public every Saturday, Sunday, and most holiday Mondays. The Museum gates open at 12:00 noon. Hourly Guided tours of the museum are provided. The Museum grounds close at 4:00 p.m.
