Camp Drum operated here from 1862 to 1873. Originally established as a Civil War garrison and depot, it later served as a base of operations in the Indian Wars.
Only one of the original 20 structures still remains. Originally the "Accompanied Officers Quarters," the museum now displays items from the period, including a rare 1872 model naval Gatling gun, furniture, documents, and a scale model of the original 60-acre camp.
Tours are given daily except for Sundays and Wednesdays. Please call for hours, as they are subject to change.
