Located just four miles south of
Lompoc on Highway One, the road meanders for 15 miles through scenic forest and ranch land to the 28-acre coastal park, donated to
Santa Barbara County in 1943 by the Richfield Oil Company.
Isolated Jalama Beach is a popular surfing brake but risky for swimmers because of a strong under tow. Campsites have picnic tables and barbecue pits. Hookup sites are available for RVs. RV dump stations are also available. The park has piped water, public restrooms and showers. A general store offers groceries, fishing tackle and bait, a snack bar. The park also features a restaurant using only the finest ingredients and is home of the famous "Jalama Burger."
