Located in Little Tokyo, which is the cultural, social and economic center of southern California's Japanese community, the museum occupies a remodeled Buddhist temple. The museum displays photographs, personal objects, art and artifacts reflecting Japanese immigration to America and their contributions. Visitors may experiment with origami, examine family photo albums and learn more about World War II internment camps. The museum is open daily except Mondays, New Years, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
