Julian California

Julian is a small mountain community in Southern California. This historic gold-mining town is a Designated Historical District. Its image as an early California frontier town with pioneer store fronts, and historic sites still exist and account for tourism being Julian's largest industry, followed by cattle raising.

Julian is located in San Diego County just northeast of San Diego between Escondido and Brawley along Highway 78 near Capitan and San Vicente lakes. Julian is situated just north of the United States/Mexico border.

Julian is part of the San Diego, California metro area.
