Miwok Indian artifacts and other exhibits of the prehistory of Marin County are on display in this museum. In addition, there is a garden with native plants.

The annual Trade Feast takes place at the museum in September, with dancing, food, arts and crafts.

The museum is open daily excluding Monday. Hours of admission are Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The museum is closed on holidays.

Prices of admission are $5.00 for adults, and children under the age of 12 are admitted for free.
