Verdugo Hills Hospital (VHH) is a 158-bed primary, nonprofit acute medical care facility with 92 general acute care, 24 acute psychiatric, 18 skilled nursing beds and 24 subacute beds. All patient rooms are private. The Hospital is governed by a 15-member volunteer Board of Directors. In keeping with its mission to provide state-of-the-art quality health care, VHH maintains a full complement of inpatient and outpatient services. It provides 24-hour basic emergency services; comprehensive outpatient diagnostic and treatment facilities, surgical and critical care facilities; family centered maternity care including LDR (labor, delivery, recovery) suites, and a transitional care unit.

The Hospital opened in 1972 and currently serves over 443,000 residents in the north central areas of Los Angeles County. The medical staff of 410 represents over 47 specialties. The Hospital employs 578 full- and part-time employees. Visiting hours are 11 am to 8 pm.
