Children's Hospital Central California

On October 26, 1952 Valley Children's Hospital and Guidance Clinic opened its doors as a 42-bed pediatric hospital at the corner of Shields and Millbrook Avenues in Fresno.

Almost 50 years later, the continuation of the dream of five women has become a bright, beautiful reality in the form of a regional medical center dedicated exclusively to the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of children. This new medical center is the cornerstone of a collaborative pediatric health delivery system that will provide a continuum of care to the children of Central California into the next millennium.

Children's Hospital Central California is many things to many people. They are the 12th largest free-standing children?s hospital in the United States and the only children?s hospital serving a large portion of Central California.
