The National Steinbeck Center is a 37,000 square-foot museum, featuring interactive exhibits and educational programs celebrating Nobel prize-winning author John Steinbeck's life, work and values.
The National Steinbeck Center is located in the heart of historic Salinas, 17-miles drive east of Monterey. Monterey County County wineries, championship golf courses, Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca, 17-Mile Drive, Cannery Row, the Monterey Bay Aquarium and other attractions are just a short drive a way.
The National Steinbeck Center is open from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. seven days a week. The Center is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day, and Easter.
Admission is $9.95 for adults; $7.95 for seniors over the age of 62, students with ID, and military with ID; $6.95 for youth 13-17; $5.95 for children 6-12; and children under the age of 5 and admitted for free. Members of the Center are always admitted for free.
