This is a small community north of
Garberville on
Highway 101. Redcrest is in
Humboldt County in the heart of the Redwoods on the
Avenue of the Giants. The town began in 1919 as a logging camp. Today, there are camping areas, a grocery story, local sawmill, and a restaurant. Visitors flock to this area to see the 2,500 year old "Eternal Tree" and the "Immortal Tree" along with the many amazing wonders of the Redwoods.
