Built by a prominent ranching family in 1873, this rambling two-story house is the oldest frame house in the Goleta Valley. The Stow House has been restored and outfitted with beautiful period furnishings, clothing, toys, and memorabilia by the Goleta Historical Society.
Outbuildings contain antique farm equipment. The Goleta Valley Lemon Festival and the Old-Time Fiddlers' Convention are held on the grounds in October, and the house is specially decorated for Christmas.
The Stow House is open Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. from February through December. The House is closed during rainy days and the property grounds are open year round. Please call to arrange group tours.
