Nestled in the foothills of Mount Tamalpais and fronted by the Pacific Ocean, this little hamlet has an inviting three-mile-long beach, surrounded by public park lands for your hiking and wandering pleasure.
The resort village is centered between Pt. Reyes National Sea Shore, Mount Tamalpais State Park and Muir Woods National Monument.
The Anchorage was built in 1910 as a hiking hostel and is now a town landmark. The Inn sits one block above the main street and overlooks the hills, village and ocean. The guest room features elegant furnishings, and a bathroom with antique claw foot tub. Breakfast includes coffee, fresh-squeezed orange juice, granolas, and pastry.
