Tulare

Tulare is a city with a strong agricultural vitality, seeking to diversify their industrial and retail base. Tulare is nestled in the Central Valley of California and founded in 1874 by the railroad, Tulare overcame numerous disasters in the 1880's: the departure of the railroad and three major fires; the saving element was bringing water and farming to the area.

Tulare is close to Sequoia National Park, Kings Canyon National Park, and Yosemite Village National Park, and coastal areas are within a two and one-half hour drive.

Tulare is located in Tulare County north of Bakersfield between Visalia and Delano along Highway 99 near Lake Success and Lake Kaweah.

Tulare is part of the Visalia-Tulare-Porterville, California metro area.
