Carbondale is located just south of Glenwood Springs, on Hwy 133 in the giant shadow of Mount Sopris. Harvey Gap State Park and Ruedt Reservoir are nearby. Carbondale is known as the gateway to the Crystal River Valley. It is an outdoor activity heaven, with biking, kayaking, and world-class fly fishing in surrounding waters.
