Built in 1929, this suspension-type bridge takes travelers across the Royal Gorge at a dizzying height of over 1,000 feet. The single-lane bridge spans the
Arkansas River; due to the structure's narrowness, vehicle restrictions are in place at the site. Many attractions operate at the park, which also offers trails, a trolley, and an incline railway as alternate means of crossing the gap. The bridge can also be crossed on foot by those undaunted by heights. Open daily.
