This 2-year institution offers the Associate Degree in liberal arts (A.A.) and science (A.S.). Certificate programs are also offered in many of these areas. The degree programs may be transferred to 4-year institutions toward baccalaureate degrees. Continuing Education programs for credit or non-credit are also available.
The less formal academic setting of the community college acts as a less threatening preparation for young students in need of academic nurturing, counseling, tutoring and guidance before enrolling in an educational setting requiring more self-sufficiency and focus.
The 2-year community college experience is also a less expensive way to complete the first two years of a four year study program.
