This Victorian mansion contains family furnishings, glassware, porcelain, Oriental carpets and paintings by Connecticut artists. The house features elaborate woodwork with stenciled walls and murals. Visitors also may view a working machine shop. Displays in the adjacent museum reflect history and arts in Torrington. Open Tuesday - Friday, 10am-4pm and Saturday and Sunday noon-4pm in April through October. Closed legal holidays. The Torrington Historical Society is located in the Hotchkiss-Flyer House
