Viva Zapata Restaurant is one of the oldest restaurants in New Haven. The restaurant serves Mexican, Cajun, and Southwest cuisine. Since 1974 two generations of Yale Students and more have entered this rustic Mexican restaurant. You are greeted by the Mexican Suit of Armor in the reception area amidst many days of old antiques giving the restaurant a true Mexican ambience. A bar menu is available. The restaurant offers on premise catering for up to 50 people.
