The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk |
Located on the west bank of the Norwalk River, and housed in a 5-acre restored 19th century factory, this aquarium features interactive exhibits about the maritime history and marine life of Long Island Sound. Highlights of the complex include an aquarium with more than 1,000 animals native to Long Island Sound; a touch tank; an IMAX theater; and Maritime Hall, which displays boats and nautical relics. Changing exhibits and educational programs are also featured.
Food is available.
Open 10am-6pm daily in July through Labor Day. Daily 10am-5pm rest of the year.
